Overall
I think that the plot of Causeway is solid, it is a good story that is told well. Personally, the movie moves a little slow for my preferences but the underlying tones throughout make up for the slow pace. As a Jennifer Lawrence fan, I think she plays this type of character well and it reminded me of her part in Silver Linings Playbook. I also thought that Brian Tyree Henry did a phenomenal job playing his role. Acting was the strong suit of this movie. The visuals were great, a strong use of lighting and color highlighted the parts of the movie that were positive and darkness often surrounded low parts. I felt the film could have done a better job invoking emotions through difficult and happier scenes. oftentimes the tracks used can set the tone of the scene and I felt there was room for improvement here.
Overall this was a good watch, although the plot moves slowly - it was well thought out and executed within a short amount of time that kept the viewers engaged.

Overall
The plot of this show leaves some to be desired, following a stay-at-home mother reconnecting with her longtime friend and exploring the possibilities of returning to the workforce. I felt there were better opportunities to expand on the storyline. The soundtrack does a good job of setting scenes and has a "funky" undertone that establishes a feeling of the generation the main characters grew up in. The acting was exactly what you would expect out of Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne. Both have built careers out of playing the exact types of characters they are portraying in the show. Lastly, the visuals vary on the different spots in the show. A lot of the scenes are set in dark or dull spaces; however, some scenes can make things pop with color. I felt the show does a good job of using the visuals to establish feeling and tone.

Based on a true story, Tetris follows Hank Rogers in his quest to acquire the rights to the video game Tetris from the Soviet Union. From cold stoicism to warm, lighthearted, joyfulness, each character in this film has a strong personality that gave life to every scene. Each country depicted is characterized by a different color scheme and scenes were often overlayed by pixel art, themed perfectly to the classic game this movie revolves around. This film is best for those who enjoy drama, suspense and want a glimpse into Russia during the Cold War.

Overall
Nefarious follows Dr. James Martin as he must determine whether a death row inmate, claiming he is possessed by a demon, is sane enough for his sentence to be carried out.
Within the first few minutes of this film, the viewer is thrust into an intriguing dialogue between James and ‘Nefarious’ as the inmate calls himself. The plot covers a short few hour span before the scheduled death sentence, providing a sense of urgency for James to come to a decision. We loved every twist and turn as the mystery unfolded and we began to draw our own conclusions about Nefarious and his claims.
Acting plays a crucial role for this almost entirely dialogue based film, and it delivers for the most part. Nefarious, played by Sean Patrick Flanery, is intriguing and switches to his claimed host Edward with an extreme shift in emotion. This is a difficult role to play, and without Flanery’s masterful performance, the film may have fallen flat. His counterpart James, played by Jordan Belfi, was a believable protagonist and played off Flanery well. The rest of the cast fell short, however, removing us at times from the immersion created by Flanery and Belfi.
The set in this film is an extremely simple one, with most scenes taking place in a single room. Every facial expression and emotion is captured in detail as the camara pans from one character to the next. This method was almost hypnotic in its ability to keep us engaged for long stretches of dialogue.
Sound
Dialogue was clear for the most part, while a little fast at times. Periods of silence contrasted by shouting matches in this movie helped to add weight to points made. We loved the subtle use of sound, and the ever-present jingling of Nafarious’ shackles left us with an unease throughout the entirety of the film.
Overall, this movie is great for anyone who enjoys a psychological thriller with a mystery that will keep you guessing until the end. While the acting was subpar at times and some plot points were lacking depth, this film is a great watch with a unique take on demonic possession.
